The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity
by Fr. Ivan Olmo

“Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” Have you ever stopped to wonder, to ponder, to consider the mystery of God? To truly sit down without distraction, without hurry, without preoccupation and simply allow yourself to be totally blown away at how amazing God is – his voice, his mystery, his presence? Have you given it a thought, a chance, even a moment to consider how amazing God is and allow yourself to be amazed by his awesomeness, his omnipotence, his transcendence, his great love for humanity? Have you ever stopped to consider how much God loves you, longs for you, desires you, continually pursues you hoping that you will stop for a moment, take a look around, place your hand on your heart and set your gaze and attention towards Heaven and say, I’m here Lord – I’m listening. Most Beloved Father, thank you for loving us so much. Thank you for never giving up on us. Thank you for your holy patience. Thank you for never leaving us alone. Thank you for bestowing your great love and mercy on us. Thank you for giving us everything, every opportunity to be loved, happy, free.   Father you are amazing. Your love for us is amazing. A mystery that astounds us, fills us with awe and wonder, moves us and heals us. How can anyone love us so much? How can anyone love us so unconditionally, patiently, wholeheartedly? How can anyone love us despite our faults, love us beyond our shortcomings, love us regardless of our sin, love us considering all the hurt that we ever caused? How can anyone love us so much even after all the times we have been unfaithful to you, your covenant, your commandments, your Word, your Spirit, your promise? Most Glorious and Gracious Father, that is what makes you even more amazing! Even when we were unfaithful to you, you remained faithful to us. Even after all the hurt we caused you, you still hurt for us. Even knowing that we may sin once again, you still sent your only Begotten Son to die for us. Most Merciful Father, even despite all our failures, you still make good our defects. Even when we were not able to love you or love you perfectly, you never stopped loving us, longing for us, desiring us, pursuing us. Most Beautiful Father, how can we not be amazed at your kindness, your tenderness, your compassion, your love towards us? Thank you Heavenly Father, for being such an amazing, astounding, awesome God.
