Dear Friends in Christ,
Thank you for your generosity and attention to the people of our Sister Diocese in the Dominican Republic. Your goodness is helping to improve their dignity and opportunities for education, medicine and shelter. Please continue to pray for the people of the Diocese of San Juan de la Maguana and for the poor in our midst.
This past week, I met with representatives of our Pastoral Council, Parish Life Commissions and Ministry Facilitators. It was a chance to review the work of the Pastoral Council over the past two years. You may remember in 2007-08 our parish conducted a period of strategic planning. More recently, we have taken the opportunity to assess and affirm those goals as well as develop a series of core values. In the near future, I look forward to sharing with you our updated goals and core values as well as the advisory structure that assists me as Pastor of Annunciation Catholic Church.
I am also excited to inform you about a new tool for presenting ideas to myself, our Staff and our Pastoral Council. If you have an idea that you would like for us to explore, please email idea@annunciationorlando.org with an explanation. Feedback is an important tool for any organization to continually improve. Thank you for helping us to accomplish Our Mission through your prayers and support.
When you come before the Lord this week, please whisper my name to the Almighty. Know that I will pray for you, your loved ones and your intentions. We may not see each other each day but may we meet each day in our prayers.
