Dear Friends in Christ,
August is now upon us and that means that soon the children will be returning Back to School. I hope that it has been a blessed summer for all. Thank you for bringing me bulletins from places far and wide! I really enjoy looking through them and seeing what is happening in parishes throughout our country (and world). Since there is just one more week before most of our local schools return to begin the 2013-14 academic year, I hope you will enjoy these final days and appreciate the gift of unscheduled time.
Registration for Faith Formation for Children and Youth is in full swing. Further in the bulletin you will find information regarding how to register online. Information and registration for Sacramental Preparation (Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation) will take place later this month. If your family is returning to the Church and the children are in need of the Sacraments of Initiation, please let us know and we will be happy to work with you. I also would like to invite all adults and teens of our parish to consider offering your time to volunteer in passing the light of faith to the next generation. You do not have to have a child involved in the program in order to assist. Thank you for your consideration!
Our parish is also excited about the many opportunities for adults to participate in Faith Formation and spirituality opportunities. Please read further into this bulletin to find out more. Remember that the journey of Faith Formation is lifelong.
When you come before the Lord this week, please whisper my name (and the names of our Priests and Religious Sisters) to the Lord. Please pray that we can be the servants that you need and deserve. Know that we will pray for you, your loved ones and your intentions. May we meet each day in our prayers!
