This weekend we have the opportunity to learn more about the work and ministries of the Catholic Church in Central Florida as we begin the 2013 Our Catholic Appeal. This annual appeal is our opportunity to celebrate and participate in the activities of the larger Church of the Diocese of Orlando. As a parish we are appreciate the services offered by the Diocese and also are able to assist in providing assistance to those areas (Vocations, Outreach, Campus Ministry and Formation just to name a few…) that truly embrace the Gospel. I invite you to reflect upon your resources and consider your gift to the 2013 Our Catholic Appeal. Know that I am most appreciative of your generosity towards our parish assessment of $535,000. Thank you for your continued commitment and prayers!
Please pray this weekend for the couples of our parish who are attending the Marriage Renewal Retreat. We also look forward to celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation with the teens of our parish on March 1 at 6:30pm. I hope that as you continue through Lent you may have time to reflect in a quiet way and ask: Is my heart burning to know, love and serve God by loving and serving others? Know that you are lifted in my prayers. Thank you for remembering our Priests, Religious Sisters and Staff in your prayers as well. May we meet each day in our prayers!
