OUR MISSION

The mission of Ali’s Hope Foundation is to inspire hope and improve the quality of life for adolescents and young adults living with mental health concerns through education, support and advocacy.

EDUCATION – We promote awareness of mental health concerns through events and communication to those concerned with mental health, to provide hope for a brighter future and reduce the stigma related to mental illness.

SUPPORT – We assist in funding mental health resources to promote access to treatment, sustainability of programs and stabilization for those in need.

ADVOCACY – We will continue to work with other organizations to promote discussion and programs related to mental health treatment to save more lives, reach more people and achieve our mission.

Why are we working in the High schools?

Our adolescents and young adults have come out of COVID more fearful, depressed, anxious, and unsure if there will even be a tomorrow. Many parents are unsure of how to deal with That results in their parents worrying about their children instead of focusing on their job. May of the students
stayed home during the pandemic and as they attempt to reestablish their place in their school they cannot find a place they feel safe to be themselves. 

Our current goals in Seminole County are to:

• Begin a mental wellness club at each school
• Build a mental wellness lounge for students to have a safe space accessible to them and staff the room with a licensed mental health counselor
• Educate parents, teachers, and students about mental wellness and have open conversations about mental health concerns

Lake Mary High School’s Mental Wellness Task Force
The primary goal of the mental wellness task force is to give students the opportunity to share resources and voice their opinions about mental wellness related topics.

Ram’s Get Reall Podcast (The Ram is the Lake Mary Mascot)

The Task Force’s podcast series serves as a way of sharing resources with students with mental health concerns. Covering topics from social media to anxiety, it allows other students to relate to the conversation.
