Friends of the Poor Walk
Join us as we raise funds for families and people in need from our parish and for those that come to our campus looking for help. Our St. Vincent DePaul Ministry meets those needs with emergency resources and with counseling and access to other community resources for long term solutions. They live the Corporal Works of mercy every day.
Join us for Mass in the Church at 8am

Amazing Grace Race FAQ
What is the format of the Amazing Grace Race?
The Amazing Grace Race will be capped at 24 teams, 48 people (age 15 and over)
• Three separate groups of 8 teams each competing in 6 legs, each leg having:
• Detour: Both members of team competing together in a game.
• Roadblock: A task only one team member can complete. Each member will compete in 3 of the 6 roadblocks.
• There will be a pit stop (mat) at the end of each leg that we will keep track of finishing place and order for the next leg. 8 points for first, 7 points for second place… A time limit will be set to finish a leg and teams not finishing will be tied for the next place.
How long will the Amazing Grace Race take to complete?
• This is the inaugural year, but plans will be to complete all 6 legs within 2 hours, 10:00 AM to Noon (Registration will begin at 9:30 AM).
• The final leg will be an additional unknown amount of time, but best guess is 30 minutes for the final leg.
What is the age requirement for the Amazing Grace Race?
• Minimum age 15 years old
What are the sponsorship levels for competing and advantages for competing?
• Sponsorship of teams competing – $100 sponsorship level to compete with additional amounts getting advantage in non-final legs as follows: $250 1 advantage, $500 2 advantages, $750 3 advantages, $1,000 4 advantages.
• First game of each non final leg will have 8 advantages available to be picked out of a box if a team elects to use one of their advantages based on sponsorship level.
Which teams will compete in the final leg of the Amazing Grace Race?
• The final leg will consist of the winning team (by points accumulated) of each 8 team group plus 1 other team selected per SVDP judges.
Should teams coordinate their shirts to be the same color?
• Yes they should but will not be required. Sponsors may choose to get a team shirt to advertise the sponsorship?
Walk/Run
We walk/run a 5k (3.1 miles) around the campus and track at Annunciation. You do not have to walk the entire course.
