Dear Friends in Christ,
The summer heat has definitely been upon us! I hope that you have been able to find a cool and safe place to be during these hot days. It is difficult to believe but the lazy days of summer vacation for all of our school children are quickly passing. As I get older it seems that time goes by faster and faster… maybe you feel the same way!
The month of July is a wonderful time for us to begin planning for the excitement of activities that occur during the academic year. Here is a sampling of some items that I ask you to consider….
- Registration for Faith Formation for Children and Youth is in full gear. Please register your children as soon as possible so we can adequately plan for the class sizes and ensure we have enough Catechists and helpers. Thank you for considering passing on the beauty of our Catholic faith or getting involved in another way.
- Further in this bulletin you will find some ‘Save the Date’ opportunities for great programs and speakers that we have booked for the Fall. I hope you will mark these on your calendar now. More information will be forthcoming.
- Have you ever thought of spending some time with the Lord in Eucharistic Adoration? This is a wonderful way to grow in faith by making yourself present to the Almighty. Great spiritual transformations can take place before the Blessed Sacrament. Are you willing to see what graces God wants to give you?
- If you are traveling this summer, please bring me back a bulletin as a souvenir. I enjoy seeing what is going on in parishes throughout our country and abroad.
When you come before the Lord this week, please whisper my name to the Almighty. Know that I will pray for you and your intentions as well. We may not see each other each day but may we meet each day in our prayers!
