Confirmation

For Youth:  The church firmly states that confirmation is a celebration of “Christian mystery” in which those being confirmed receive the “full outpouring of the Holy Spirit as once granted to the apostles on the day of Pentecost”(CCC1302). High School students beginning in 9th grade prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation.  Older students who have not yet received the Sacrament are prepared with their peers. Preparation consists of several Sacramental sessions where both the Confirmandi and the sponsor/parent attend.  For more information, please contact our Faith Formation Staff.

Schedule of Confirmation 2013 Preparation Sessions

For Adults:  Perhaps due to family transitions, moves, or any other number of situations you were unable to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. This Confirmation for Adults preparation class is for all parishioners college age and older.  Please contact our Faith Formation Staff or call the Parish Office.  If you are not a baptized Catholic, find out more about the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).

RCIA:  RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS
Interested in becoming Catholic?  Perhaps now is the time and this is the place…
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which the Catholic Church welcomes individuals into the community of the faithful! It is available to all individuals who are interested in learning about the Catholic Church and seeking sacramental initiation into the Catholic faith. For individuals who have never been baptized, your journey will begin with a period of Inquiry and leads to the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation – Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist – at the Easter Vigil. Individuals baptized in another faith, receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist through the Rite of Reception and Full Communion. For more information, please call us at the Parish Office.  We look forward to walking with you!
