Fall Festival Proceeds
As of November 30th the net proceeds from our 2012 Fall Festival were $116,631. What an amazing Year! Thank you again to everyone involved with the Festival. Your dedication of Time and Talent made our donations to local charities even more impactful this year.
For the last three years, the distribution of Fall Festival proceeds has been guided by a team of Parishioners who comprise our Charitable Outreach Advisory Committee. This committee reviews all of the charities requesting assistance, conducts site visits and analyzes the use of the funds to determine their match with Our Mission. The recommendations of the committee are submitted to the Pastor.
This year the committee recommended the following distribution:
- Sharing Center $25,000
- Shepherd’s Hope $25,000
- St. Vincent de Paul $25,000
- Apopka Family Learning Center $10,000
- Hospice of the Comforter $7,500
- Coalition for the Homeless $2,500
- Annunciation Habitat for Humanity $5,000
This leaves approximately $17,000 in discretionary funds that will be used for outreach requests received throughout the year from various organizations.
